We're not even at home, and I think about it all the time. I've been waking up at midnight every night for the past couple of weeks expecting for the sky to be green and for everyone to be coffins. [her grip tightens on her still warm cup as if it's the only thing keeping her in the present. ] It's stupid. That can't happen here, but....
I don't know. The minute we awakened to our power, we traded away our innocence. We could never be kids again. But they say that power corrupts, you know? [ she finally looks up at shinjiro, but not truly at him. through him, maybe. beyond him. ]
